Local businesses are invited to an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 29 to learn more about the program, which aims to increase traffic to local businesses by rewarding residents who shop locally with tax credits.

Similar to a loyalty program, residents would receive a card to use at participating vendors, and a portion of their purchase will be credited to their account, through software developed by Property Tax Reward Program

Each business would determine its own reward rate, which the program recommends be similar to any discounts or coupons normally offered. Property Tax Reward Program collects a transaction fee.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of the municipal building at 1 Harding Place, in Glen Rock.
